According to an online article on msnbc.com, Senator Edwards wife vomited after Sen. Edwards CONFESSED to her about having an extra-marital affair. OMG! REALLY PEOPLE?!?? Spouses DO NOT appreciate being told! Keep your affair to yourself! Telling your spouse about your extra-martial affair is the most selfish thing you can do. YOU may feel better but you have just dropped a ton of bricks on your spouse, and her/his life will NEVER be the same. YOUR life with NEVER be the same! From that moment on your spouse will forever look at you through eyes of deceit and the mental image of you having sex with another person will cross his/her mind EVERY time you two have sex. You will live the rest of your life under a high powered microscope - every move you make will be scrutinized. She/he will question you every time you leave the house, when you are late from work, when you are gone too long to the store, telephone hang-ups, etc. I have heard of marriages getting 'stronger' after an affair is revealed, but believe me, those are the EXCEPTION not the RULE. However, due to 'no fault' divorces it is hard to pinpoint exactly how many marriages end because of infidelity. In short, DON'T tell your spouse about your affair. Keep it to yourself - or tell me!
